Title of Book Four in the Reaper Series

After discussing the title of book four with my publisher, we’ve decided to rename the final act in the Reaper Series. The new and final title is……Revenge of the Reaper.

I’m back to working on it and hopefully will have a May release. I will keep you all updated on the progress of the final book in the series. It has been a great voyage writing about Jacob Myers. Even though he’s a fictional character, I’ve come to enjoy the time we’ve spent together.

A New Year….A New Book Coming

Hello all. I hope your holidays went well and the new year finds you achieving any goals you’ve set for yourself. My holidays were good, and I’ve been back to work now for three weeks. My back is holding up, so far (fingers crossed). Now that I’ve taken a little self imposed vacation from writing, I’m back at writing and working on book 4, the final book in the Reaper Series. I had a working title, but my publisher has suggested a different one, so I’ll announce the final title once we come to an agreement.

I must say this is going to be hard saying goodbye to Jacob Myers. Though he’s a fictional character, I’ve come to love writing about him and his adventures. I feel that his time has come to end the series. The one thing I didn’t want to do when I started writing was draw the series out too long. The reception I’ve received about Reaper’s Requiem has been incredible. I’m hoping to carry that momentum onto the final book. We have a target of May 2015 for release, but depending on the editing phase, it could be extended. But I’m hopeful it will be ready by then. Until then….read on!!!

Reaper’s Requiem

I am proud to announce the release of Reaper’s Requiem, the third book in the Reaper Series. It will be available on Amazon on December 6, 2014. If you’d like to attend the book release party on Facebook, I’ll put the link to the party down below. This is the longest book I’ve written, so far, at just over 76,000 words.

I’m currently writing the fourth and final book in the Reaper Series. The working title is The Reaper Returns. We haven’t set an official release date, but it should be by summer 2015. This will be the final installment in the series. I have thoroughly enjoyed writing about Jacob Myers. Though he’s a fictional character, I will miss spending time writing about him. I never imagined becoming close to a person that doesn’t really exist.

I have a book in the works called Gabriel’s Guardian, and it will be a stand alone book (meaning not a series). I also am working on my first Christian Fiction trilogy. The first book will be called Faith Tested. I also have several other books planned and I will keep you all posted on the progress.

Thank you so much for following my blog and reading my books. I never imagined my books would be so well received when I began writing.

Faith Tested

Since my publisher has Reaper’s Requiem (book three of the Reaper series) for editing, I’ve decided to utilize my free time and work on restructuring Faith Tested. It’s book one in the Christian Fiction series I’m writing. Originally, I wrote it as a short novel and entered it into the Genesis Contest with the ACFW. I unfortunately didn’t make it out of the first round of the highly competitive contest. I am reworking the characters, going with the same plot, but also making in a full length novel.

At first I was bothered and down right depressed after I didn’t make it to the semi-finals. It’s a hard pill to swallow when you’re competitive person like I am and you don’t win. After a break from the book, I went back and looked at the critiques by the three judges, all established editors/publishers in the Christian Fiction book industry. I studied their critiques and seen the things I needed to improve. Now, with a renewed sense of urgency, I’m back to work on that book. I didn’t realize how one dimensional my characters and their conflicts were. So, with time on my side, I’m working on making it a better novel and can’t wait for the world to read it, one day.

Book Three Now Has a Name

I’m happy to announce that book three in the Reaper series now has a name. After several conversations with my publisher, we’ve mutually agreed on one. The title is….drum roll please…Oh, did I tell you that I’ve submitted the third book to my publisher to begin red ink edits?

You want to know the title?

Oh, my mistake. Forgive me, I’m easily distracted. The title is:

Reaper’s Requiem.

We’re targeting a fall release for this book. I’ll keep you all informed of any updates as they become available.

Writing Vacation Over and an Exciting Announcement

Greetings all,

How is everyone doing today? I have to say that today is a great day! I enjoyed my little writing vacation and on July 1st, I jumped right back into editing the third book of the Reaper series. I’m happy to announce that I completed my set of rewrites/edits and I will be submitting the manuscript to my publisher to start the red ink edits. I have a few more tweeks I want to do and then I’ll be sending in the manuscript.

I’m very happy with how the book turned out. I had a concept when I started and it grew from there. We’re looking at a fall release. I will keep you all updated as announcements come available.
